Facilities Manager

Location and Job Title: Facilities Manager Worcester JCC 633 Salisbury Street Worcester, MA 01609 Principal Responsibilities: Provide general oversight and management of the JCC facilities department (maintenance and housekeeping). Oversee staff of approximately 7 housekeepers and maintenance workers, including scheduling, payroll and personnel issues. Ensure that the Worcester JCC facility is clean, safe and attractive, including offices, locker rooms, fitness areas, gym, classrooms and restrooms, including carpet cleaning, vinyl floor upkeep, washing of walls, windows, and all surface areas. Oversee exterior clean‑up of the building grounds. Oversee maintenance of and upkeep of classroom mechanical equipment such as but not limited to basic HVAC, heating and cooling pumps, plumbing electrical as well as classroom furniture. Ensure that the building is in a clean and safe condition for members and staff. Other duties as assigned by dept supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: Must be knowledgeable of OSHA regulations. Must have experience and knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, pool operations. Must have general knowledge of janitorial skills and housekeeping skills, including best practices for cleaning and organizing. Knowledge and experience of hand and power tools, floor stripping, buffing machinery, and carpet cleaning equipment. Ability to prioritize and work independently. Strong customer services and interpersonal skills. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be available to be on‑call outside of normal office hours in case of building emergencies. Preferred: Ability to communicate in Spanish, Portuguese, Albanian or experience working with bi‑lingual teams.
