Corporate Counsel

Job Overview Under general supervision, act as Corporate Counsel for MBV. Provide timely advice, support, and analysis for management and business units related to procurement, commercial agreements and transactions, intra-company agreements, contracts, and the creation of contract templates. Additionally support the MBV Legal Department on labor, employment, immigration, litigation, and other matters as needed. Responsibilities Perform legal activities within professional standards to protect MBV’s legal, reputational, and business interests and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Prepare legal contracts, agreements, and other documents for commercial, financial, and operational matters. Draft, negotiate, and approve contracts, agreements, and other legal documents in accordance with Mercedes policy. Support business units, managers, and employees with legal consultation and advice relevant to department activities, projects, risks, and decisions. Support business units, managers, and employees with supplier disputes and negotiations. Provide legal research, analysis, advice, and recommendations on legal and business activities. Support litigation, arbitration, mediation, or other disputes with courts, government agencies, or legal authorities. Meet with other internal departments as needed to accomplish MBV projects requiring legal support. Provide research, counsel, and guidance on legal questions or issues. Attend and participate in regularly scheduled team meetings. Qualifications Juris Doctorate Degree from a United States Law School. Licensed U.S. attorney in at least one U.S. state in good standing. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. Ability to work against deadlines and manage multiple tasks within a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. Knowledge of fundamentals of law. Excellent legal administration skills and strong organization skills. Capability to understand, analyze, and articulate legal positions, contractual obligations, risks, and legal requirements. Proficiency with Microsoft365, AI, and other technology tools.
