Registered Nurse (RN) – LTAC ICU ContractLocation: Birmingham, AL Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Extension Possible) Schedule: 3×12‑hour shifts weekly Type: Local Contract (Not Travel)
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a Long‑Term Acute Care (LTAC) ICU contract in Birmingham, Alabama . This is a local, closer‑to‑home contract offering a stable schedule, supportive clinical environment, and the option to extend based on performance and facility needs.
Responsibilities- Provide high‑acuity nursing care to LTAC ICU patients
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, vital signs, and treatment responses
- Administer medications, infusions, and advanced therapies
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation
- Respond to critical changes in patient status and follow ICU protocols
- Support daily clinical operations within the LTAC ICU setting
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
- LTAC, ICU, or high‑acuity experience preferred
- Strong critical‑thinking and assessment skills
- Reliable, compassionate, and committed to patient‑centered care
- 3×12‑hour shifts weekly
- 13‑week contract with extension option
- LTAC ICU environment
- Local contract — not travel
