CT Technologist

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist is responsible for operating specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the human anatomy. This aids radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders. This position assists in training students and technologists and performs injection procedures. The CT Technologist maintains optimum timeliness, accuracy, proficiency, efficiency, and safety during the execution of duties. They work closely with patients to ensure they have an understanding of procedures and are comfortable during procedures.

The CT Technologist operates advanced imaging equipment to capture detailed images for diagnostic purposes. They work in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including emergency departments. Candidates should possess independent thinking skills along with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. An easy adaptability to change and a patient-centered attitude are desirable traits for this position. This role involves interaction with patients to provide comfort and clarity regarding procedures. Expected workload may include backup call coverage during scheduled rotations. Equipment utilized includes Siemens and Philips technology, supported by an electronic medical record system. Dress code includes charcoal grey scrubs, solid colored undershirts, and non-porous shoes.
