RN - PACU

Registered Nurse

This role involves caring for pre and post patients undergoing cardiac procedures. Candidates should have a solid background in PACU or pre/post-operative care. Expected duties will include managing patients recovering from cardiac procedures. Special procedures include left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, TAVR, ablations, transesophageal echocardiograms, cardioversion, loop recorder placements, and pacemaker insertions. Familiarity with special equipment such as vein finders and bladder scanners is necessary. The successful candidate will follow protocols for medication administration and patient assessments. Participation in emergency response as assigned by unit management is a requirement. Strong skills in patient education, pain management, and discharge instructions are essential. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment is crucial. Candidates must possess excellent communication and teamwork skills. Candidates should prepare to provide two supervisory references upon request.
