Assesses patient’s health and continuously monitors; detects changes in symptoms, health or pain, and takes action as necessary; and quickly and accurately assesses patient care needs. Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol. Sets priorities in plan of care based on assessed needs and anticipates personnel, supplies, and equipment required to care for patients based on assessed needs. Works collaboratively with provider to provide exceptional care. Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures. Provides patient and family education.
