SUMMARY

Receives deposits, loan payments, cashes checks, balances ATM and sells official checks. Balances currency and coin drawer daily. Handles collection items and places holds on accounts for uncollected funds. Other responsibilities may be assigned as requires. This person must be trustworthy, dependable, and possess good judgment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Complies with all verbal and written instructions/requests by Teller Supervisor. Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements. Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances. Enters customers’ transactions on Integrated Teller to record transactions, and issues Integrated Teller receipts. Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds. Balances ATM. Orders daily supply of cash, and counts incoming cash. Balances currency and coins in cash drawer at end of day and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on Premier Teller. Sells products, money orders, and official checks. Removes deposits from, and counts and balances cash in, automated teller machines and night depository. Accepts loan payments. Assists in opening and closing vault each day.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School graduate or GED required LANGUAGE SKILLS: Good English Communications Skills required MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: General math ability REASONING ABILITY: Be able to deal with the public PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This individual should be capable of standing and/or sitting for long periods of time. In addition, bending over and lifting of coin and currency bags is required. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is an office type setting in the main bank or branch bank.
