Baker (Overnight Shift - 10pm-6:30am)

Overnight roles are eligible for a $1,000 signing and attendance bonus, paid in two installments: $500 after three months and an additional $500 after six months, provided perfect attendance is maintained.

Uncle Giuseppe’s Gourmet Bakery is proud to announce a new Overnight Baker opportunity with overnight hours from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. This position is perfect for an experienced and passionate baker who takes pride in delivering high-quality products with consistency, precision, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, production-driven bakery environment and is committed to upholding the craftsmanship and excellence that define our bakery. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with fresh ingredients, contribute to overnight production operations, and play an essential part in preparing exceptional baked goods for our customers each day.

This overnight Baker position is within our union and is offering a salary of $25-$27/hr plus full benefits.

As a Baker, you'll play a key role in crafting a wide variety of fresh-baked goods, ensuring top-tier quality, taste, and presentation. From classic pastries to elegant cakes and custom orders, you’ll be part of a team that delivers exceptional products and service every day.

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Prepare a variety of baked goods including pies, cookies, pastries, cakes, and more using mixers, ovens, blenders, and other baking equipment
2. Conduct quality checks on ingredients and final products to maintain food safety and excellence standards
3. Interact with customers by answering questions, taking custom orders, processing payments, and delivering warm, friendly service
4. Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and special orders
5. Ensure all client orders are fulfilled correctly and delivered on time
6. Clean and restock workstations, maintaining a safe, organized, and sanitary work environment
7. Support the bakery team with additional tasks and duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Formal baking education or training from a culinary school or bakery program is a plus
3. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on baking experience in a professional setting
4. Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and presentation for cakes, breads, pastries, and other specialty baked goods
5. Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
6. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to consistency and quality
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
8. Must be able to speak, read, and communicate clearly in English
9. Must be able to work the overnight hours of 10pm-6:30am
