SCHOOL BUS DRIVER

5+ years’ experience driving a school bus and working with children at an ATS school is added advantage. No at-fault traffic accidents in the last 5 years Clean driving record (no traffic citations in last 5 years) Ability to carry out assigned route on time Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to follow instructions Ability to drive all other school vehicles when required Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge would be an advantage Requirements 5 O’ Levels including English Language Valid Class 1 Drivers License & Re-test Valid Defensive Drivers Certificate Valid Medical Certificate Police Clearance Driver Skills 5+ years’ experience driving a school bus and working with children at an ATS school is added advantage. No at-fault traffic accidents in the last 5 years Clean driving record (no traffic citations in last 5 years) Ability to carry out assigned route on time Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to follow instructions Ability to drive all other school vehicles when required Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge would be an advantage Responsibilities Safely transport children and staff to and from school and to various destinations for activities Maintain a clean and mechanically-sound bus/vehicle at all times Obey all traffic laws and regulations Perform inspections of the bus/vehicle before and after each route Assist students with loading and unloading onto the school bus/vehicle Assist students with getting on and off the bus/vehicle when required Resolve emergency and non-emergency situations that occur during travel and trips Build rapport with both students, staff and parents.
