Sports Medicine Physician

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Physician specializing in Sports Medicine with expertise in Joint Injection Procedures to join our vibrant healthcare team. Duties Perform comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with sports-related injuries, joint pain, and musculoskeletal conditions. Administer joint injections using techniques such as corticosteroids, hyaluronic acid, or botulinum toxin treatments to alleviate pain and improve function. Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate physical examinations, medical imaging results, and patient goals. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals across specialties including orthopedics, radiology, physical therapy, and primary care to ensure coordinated patient care. Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term health outcomes. Document all procedures and patient interactions accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or similar platforms. Stay current with advancements in sports medicine, interventional radiology, and minimally invasive procedures to enhance clinical practice. Qualifications Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with active licensure in the relevant state or region. Board certification or eligibility in Sports Medicine or Orthopedics. Post-residency experience performing joint injections and musculoskeletal procedures in outpatient or hospital settings. Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or EMR/EHR platforms for documentation and patient management. Strong knowledge of medical imaging techniques including ultrasound guidance for injections. Familiarity with diagnostic radiology reports and interpreting imaging results related to musculoskeletal conditions. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals and educate patients about their treatment options. Ability to manage acute pain cases and provide comprehensive patient assessments in a fast-paced environment.
