Store Manager in Training

Responsibilities Assist store manager with sales, appearance, and overall store operations. Supervise professional and retail operations of the store and its team members, including delivery and installer service specialists and parts and merchandising specialists. Recruit, hire, evaluate, promote, discipline, and discharge team members in coordination with district manager and store manager. Communicate information from Team Weekly, monthly store manager meetings to all team members. Train new team members and perform performance evaluations, recommending pay increases. Support store manager in ensuring safety compliance and that all team members receive training in all areas. Monitor safety expectations and reinforce them. Make sales calls with or without store manager, and perform scheduled weekly customer calls as assigned. Maintain delivery fleet, keep records for each vehicle, and ensure store/HUB store is neat, clean, and organized. Handle electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll using the electronic scheduling and time‑keeping system. Manage key components of gross profit, monitoring professional customer returns for core and warranty abuse. Review competitive price matches, price overrides, individual team member productivity and KPI dashboard daily. Review monthly P&L statement with store manager and discuss areas of opportunity. Qualifications High School Diploma. Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately. Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems. Desired O’Reilly store and/or distribution center experience. Completed O’Reilly management training program. Advanced computer skills. ASE Certification. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired). Benefits Competitive wages and paid time off.
