Dispatcher

Do you have experience with juggling multiple tasks at once while paying close attention to detail? Are you able to clearly convey information and answer questions? Can you handle calls and emails from customers quickly, and be able to resolve any issues that may come up? Do you have great computer skills and you wouldn't mind a little heavy lifting every now and then? If so, we have a Dispatcher position with your name on it! salary: $20 - $20.1 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Keeping track of shipments in transit to ensure that they arrive at their destination on time
• Coordinating with other departments, such as accounting, sales, or shipping, to ensure that orders are filled correctly
• Coordinating the delivery of goods with other companies that transport the goods by air, rail, or sea
• Monitoring freight rates and adjusting rates accordingly
• Communicating with customers to keep them informed of delays, problems in shipment, or other issues that may arise during shipping
• Ensuring that all cargo is properly loaded, unloaded, and stowed on vessels
• Arranging pickup and delivery of cargo through a network of carriers, ports, customs brokers, and warehouses
• Maintaining records of shipments and delivery status to ensure proper accounting of freight charges
• Directing the activities of workers who load or unload cargo from trucks or trains or who handle freight in warehouses

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs

Skills

• Shipping and receiving (3 years of experience is required)
• Freight dispatching (3 years of experience is preferred)
• Basic Computer Skills (3 years of experience is required)
• Basic Software Skills (3 years of experience is preferred)
• Customer Service (1 year of experience is required)
• Invoices
• Freight Bills/BOLs
• Time Management
