Food Service Worker

River Edge is currently looking for a Food Service Worker to prepare meals for clients at our large commercial kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a consistent work history in a large food service kitchen and the ability to work well with a team preparing and serving over 500 meals a day.

Under general supervision of the Food Service Manager this position plans, prepares, cooks, and serves meals to students, clients, and staff in a cafeteria setting. Will perform other job related duties as assigned.

Location: 5113 College Crossing, Macon, GA. LifeSPRING kitchen

Schedule: Monday-Friday 5:30am-1:30pm OR Monday - Friday 7am-3pm both with 1 weekend per month Sat/Sun and all Holidays

Full time position with benefits

Qualifications:

• Demonstrate excellent customer service with a positive demeanor when dealing with clients
• Adhere to food safety standards at all times, making sure that all food is free or contaminants and pathogens that might make clients sick.
• Clean pots, pans, and any other dishes in the kitchen as needed, adhering to safety and sanitation standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Reasonable computer skills (time clock, email)
• Kitchen/Food service experience optional but helpful
• Agrees without reservation to work schedule and maintain good attendance and punctuality
