Senior Maintenance Technician

Job Overview Avantor is looking for a dedicated and experienced 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician. The technician installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing equipment and fixtures. They conduct general maintenance activities primarily on machinery and related equipment, maintain repair and maintenance records, troubleshoot problems and elevate the most complex issues. Work Schedule Monday‑Friday, 2p.m.–10:30p.m. with training on 1st shift for the first 90 days. Qualifications High school completion or equivalent GED (technical school certifications preferred). 3+ years applicable direct experience in a similar position. Knowledge of HVAC systems required. Interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to use personal computers and related applications. Responsibilities Maintain building electrical system and heating and cooling equipment. Perform maintenance or general carpentry on items such as doors, floors, docks, overhead doors, roof downspouts, product racks, materials handling equipment, etc. Complete required reports when maintenance tasks are concluded. Perform other duties as assigned. Environmental & Physical Effort The work environment is an industrial warehouse. The associate works near moving mechanical machinery and the noise level is usually loud. The job requires working at heights, exposure to changes in temperature, driving equipment, and may be exposed to dust, fumes, or gases.
