Facilities Technician - 1st Shift | Maintenance & Safety

GTI Values: Safey I Quality I Customer Obsession I Speed I Agility Position Overview GTI is seeking a dependable and hardworking Facilities Technician to support the daily upkeep, cleanliness, and general maintenance of our manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, takes pride in maintaining a safe and organized environment, and is willing to assist with a variety of general labor tasks throughout the facility. The Facilities Technician will work closely with multiple departments to ensure the building, work areas, and equipment remain clean, functional, and production‑ready. Key Responsibilities Seasonal Lawn Cutting/ Weed Whacking Leaf Removal Snow Removal: Clearing snow and ice from walkways, driveways, and other areas during winter months, along with salting such areas. Seasonal Planting/ Garden Upkeep/ Weed control Trash Removal & Emptying Hoppers. Equipment Maintenance: Aid Facilities Manager in record/log keeping of preventive maintenance on all facility equipment. Ride on Floor Sweeper. Assist the Facilities Manager in monitoring sub contractors and vendors. Requirements Valid NYS Driver’s License. Ability to operate a zero turn lawn mower, weed whacker, and other outdoor power tools. Forklift Certified. Ability to operate a floor sweeper. Working knowledge of OSHA safety rules and requirements. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in plumbing and/or electrical field.
