Roles And Responsibilities Machine basic parts and fixtures per drawings and work instructions under supervision. Fabricate and assemble test fixtures and specimens using standard shop practices and hand tools. Operate the waterjet system for assigned cuts, stage materials, follow procedures, and verify completed parts. Perform daily cleanup and routine care of lab spaces, machine shop, and shared equipment. Coordinate preventative maintenance on the Waterjet and other Machine Shop tools with Facilities and outside vendors. Coordinate calibration for electronic laboratory equipment with the Metrology group and outside vendors. Order and restock tools, consumables, and PPE. Receive, label, store, and issue chemicals per guidelines and keep chemical storage areas organized. Maintain tracking and accountability of government property. Process outdated equipment for surplus removal. Uphold general lab and shop cleanliness and safety. Assist with test and measurement duties in the lab under supervision, including gathering, maintaining, formatting, compiling, and manipulating technical data. Basic Qualifications Engineering Technician 1: High school diploma or equivalent. Engineering Technician 2: High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years additional education and/or related experience. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook). Candidate MUST be a US citizen and MUST be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance and Special Program Access. Preferred Qualifications Machine shop experience or certifications. Electronics assembly experience or certifications. Experience working in an organized laboratory, manufacturing, or production environment. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Active DoD Secret clearance in scope within the last 6 years, and ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access. Employment Details The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote, hybrid or telework available for this position. Travel up to 10% may be required. Salary Primary Level Salary Range: $47,200.00 - $78,600.00. Secondary Level Salary Range: $56,000.00 - $93,400.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for long term incentives.
