Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Ortho-Neuro

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical patients with an emphasis on orthopedic and neurological conditions
• Manage a patient assignment within a 1:6–7 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Work every other weekend, with a minimum requirement of both Saturday and Sunday
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including like units as required
• Participate in on-call coverage if placed on call due to census, with an 8-hour call requirement per applicable shift
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or a Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start date
• Current BLS certification required
• Willingness and ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Compliance with all pre-start requirements, including labs completed within required timeframes
• Candidates must reside beyond a 60-mile radius of the facility; locals are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience preferred
• Prior experience in orthopedic and/or neurological nursing strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• First-time travelers will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on experience
