Plant ManagerJELD-WEN is currently seeking a Plant Manager to join our growing team. Purpose of Role As a Plant Manager, you will be responsible for managing all plant operations. This position has the overall responsibility for production at their respective manufacturing facility, and for driving JELD-WEN's Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), including, but not limited to, JELD-WEN operating systems (JOS), SQDCI, TPS, OTD, and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities and initiatives in direct support of JELD-WEN's Mission Statement for their respective product line. You will report directly to the Senior Operations Director. This is an onsite role and based in Pataskala, Ohio.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and manage all plant operations in accordance with JELD-WEN's Values, Mission Statement, and Key Performance IndicatorsCoordinates all plant activities by working with Production and Departmental Managers to ensure that total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely, cost-effective manner using LEAN manufacturing processesEstablishes and monitors overall plant performance for safety, production, and quality standardsWorks with R&D and Engineering in developing scope of work/specsDirect and manage all plant operations in accordance with KPI'sDevelops, controls and implements the plant budget to maximize profits by utilizing JOS, SQDCI, TPS, OTD, and CI initiativesImplements cost-effective systems of control over operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and manages capital asset/projectsWork with R&D and support departments in testing and implementing new materials and product linesCoordinates plant and production activities through strategic planning with Director of Operations and the VPO, to ensure that total manufacturing objectives are aligned in accordance with KPI'sOversee the implementation of safety and preventative maintenance programs, driving safety procedures, and plant cleanlinessIncorporates shop floor organization with applicable Process Engineering personnel, to ensure production processes are effectiveHires, trains, develops, and appraises staff effectivelyAbility to read/interpret product drawings and schematicsAbility to coach/mentor managerial personnel, and instill cultural values in all plant personnelSuperior motivational skills, ability to train, and drive CI methodsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or related field or Associate's degree in a related field with 10 years' experience in a managerial capacity at JELD-WEN may be substituted for advanced degrees or an equivalent combination of education/experience at the discretion of management.7-10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the millwork industry.Strong knowledge of business, finance, quality control systems, and standards.Advanced leadership, interpersonal, technical aptitude, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and drive manufacturing process improvement techniques through the production process.Advanced knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing process improvement techniques including, but not limited to, JOS, SQDCI, TPS, OTD, and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.LEAN manufacturing and production process experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other applicable software applications.Strong knowledge of plant/OSHA health and safety standards and compliance.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.Fundamental knowledge of engineering principles and practices.Advanced knowledge of management principles and practices.Thorough knowledge of accounting and purchasing.About JELD-WEN Holding, Inc.JELD-WEN Holding, Inc.
