Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity is ideal for dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) interested in working within multiple school settings throughout the area during the 2026-2027 academic year.

You’ll collaborate with educational teams to help students reach their potential, serving various age groups (caseload and assignment details may vary by site). Each SLP assignment is full-time, with 35 hours per week, offering the chance to experience different school settings across the county. On-site work is required for this role; teletherapy/virtual options are not available.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist License (Dept. of Health)
• Certification as SLP-CCC required
• School-based SLP experience is highly valued
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with diverse student populations and adapt to various school environments
• Flexibility to support multiple campuses (locations assigned post-hire)

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication needs
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Deliver direct therapy sessions and monitor student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Comply with school district protocols and state/federal regulations

Additional Requirements:

• Completion of required fingerprints (for both new and previously cleared candidates via the AHCA Clearinghouse)
• Successful internal eligibility and video interview
• Willingness to travel between assigned school sites
