About the Role

Hello, LPNs! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support students in the Tacoma, Washington area. These positions involve providing individualized nursing care to students with a variety of medical needs throughout the school day. Specific responsibilities and schedules will vary by assignment.

What You’ll Do

• Provide nursing support to students during the school day

• Monitor students’ health and respond appropriately to medical needs

• Follow individualized healthcare and emergency care plans

• Administer medications and treatments as assigned

• Collaborate with families, school staff, and healthcare providers

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation

• Support students’ safe participation in school activities

• Assist with transportation needs when required by the assignment

What We’re Looking For

• Active Washington State LPN license or qualifying multistate nursing license

• Experience supporting children with medical needs preferred

• Specialized nursing experience, such as tracheostomy or G-tube care, may be required for certain assignments

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• Ability to complete required fingerprinting and background checks

• Reliable, attentive, and comfortable working in a school environment
