Maintenance Manager

Description

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises all maintenance activities either directly or through subordinate supervisors. This includes staffing, training, planning, work direction, evaluating, and discipline of employees in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Purpose: To supervise and maintain a scheduled maintenance program throughout TEAM Industries Bagley.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities :

  • Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and support CNC machines, production equipment, facility systems, and TEAM Bagley buildings to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Plan, schedule, review, and oversee preventative, planned, and unplanned maintenance for equipment, buildings, company vehicles, and support equipment.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage maintenance, facility, equipment, machine move, special machine build, and grounds-related projects to ensure work is completed safely, timely, and within budget.
  • Purchase parts, materials, tools, and services needed for the repair, maintenance, and improvement of machines, equipment, buildings, and grounds.
  • Oversee work direction of direct reports, distribute work orders as needed, communicate priorities, and provide updates on maintenance activities, project status, equipment concerns, and resource needs.
  • Support electrical staff requirements, including troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and coordination with qualified electrical resources as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional campus, including maintenance areas, production floor, buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and exterior areas.
  • Coordinate snow removal, lawn care, lighting, signage, building repairs, and general grounds maintenance as needed.
  • Proactively identify maintenance, equipment, facility, safety, and process concerns and recommend corrective actions, improvements, and cost-justified solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records for work activities, company vehicles, equipment, tools, inspections, repairs, service history, preventative maintenance activities, and maintenance-related systems.
  • Demonstrate leadership commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and coach subordinates on their impact on TEAM QMS objectives.
  • Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

• Reference OJT

Physical Demands

• Ability to climb ladders, kneel, crouch, bend, twist during machine repair

• Ability to operate forklift

• Ability to lift 50 pounds

• Ability to stand for 100% of shift

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Education & Experience :
  • Preferred: High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Post-secondary education in electronics, electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and/or HVAC
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience in machine maintenance or related field
  • Preferred: PLC and CNC repair experience
  • Preferred: Previous supervisory experience
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Some travel required 10%.
  • Organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office products, maintenance software, job shop software.
  • Ability to react will under pressure/stress.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of people.
  • Ability to plan and maintain an annual budget for the department.
