Seeking an experienced Travel RN for Medical/Surgical unit to provide high-quality inpatient care in a dynamic hospital setting. The role involves working with acute medical patients and performing various clinical procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients.
- Administer medications, including drips such as heparin, and operate equipment like Baxter IV pumps and SCD machines.
- Monitor patient conditions, record findings in the EMR, and communicate updates to healthcare team.
- Follow unit policies, adhere to safety procedures, and maintain compliance with healthcare standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Assist with post-operative care for patients recovering from procedures such as radial cardiac cath.
- Valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg acute care experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Meditech EMR system.
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
