We are looking for someone who has gotten their start in IT and is ready for the next step. Ideally, you will have around one year of Help Desk, Service Desk, Desktop Support, or similar hands-on IT support experience.

This is not a position where you need to come in knowing everything. The goal is to find someone with a good technical foundation, strong customer service skills, and the motivation to continue learning. You will work alongside experienced IT professionals, support employees throughout the organization, and gain valuable experience in a professional corporate IT environment.

As you grow in the position, you will have opportunities to expand your technical knowledge, become involved with additional technologies and projects, and build experience beyond traditional Level 1 Help Desk support.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 Help Desk support to internal employees
• Troubleshoot Windows desktop and laptop issues
• Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
• Assist with password resets, account access, permissions, and basic Active Directory tasks
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, printers, peripherals, and basic connectivity issues
• Set up, configure, and deploy computers and other IT equipment
• Document incidents, requests, and resolutions within the ticketing system
• Escalate more advanced technical issues to senior members of the IT team
• Communicate with users to understand problems and walk them through solutions
• Deliver a high level of customer service to employees across the organization
• Assist with technology deployments, upgrades, and other IT initiatives as opportunities arise

Qualifications

• Ideally around 1 year of Help Desk, Service Desk, Desktop Support, or IT Support experience
• Hands-on experience supporting Windows computers
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications
• Basic knowledge of Active Directory
• Understanding of basic networking and connectivity concepts
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable interacting with employees at different levels of an organization
• Strong desire to learn, develop technically, and build a long-term career in IT

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrington, CT.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
