Registered Nurse (RN) - Tele

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing direct patient care for individuals receiving treatment in a surgical unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs.

Position Information

• Number of Openings: 2
• Shift: Nights, 1900-0700
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekend Hours: As required by the facility
• Call Requirements: None

Qualifications

• Required Licensure: Current RN License in the state of Missouri or eligibility for licensure.
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS from AHA only
  • 4 trauma credits OR completion within the first two weeks of employment
  • NIHSS certification (may be submitted without, but must obtain prior to start)
• Preferred Certifications: ACLS from AHA only
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in Telemetry nursing
• Float Requirements: Will float on a rotational basis as needed

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 32
• Patient Ratios:
  • Days: 1:5-1:6
  • Nights: 1:6-1:8
• Equipment: Alaris pumps, telemetry systems, lift equipment
• EMR: EPIC

Responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care. Responsibilities include:

• Assessing and monitoring patient conditions
• Coordinating patient care with ancillary departments
• Evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by the healthcare team
• Maintaining confidentiality and patient rights
• Performing duties in alignment with professional standards and organizational values

Working Conditions

This position requires physical stamina, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting patients as needed. The nurse must be prepared to work shifting schedules based on patient care requirements and may have high-risk exposure to blood and body fluids.
