About the Position

Job Title: CT Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in CT procedures License: Active state licensure required Certifications: CPR Certification, ARRT RT (R), BLS, ODH License Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: Part-time position with two days per week on 12-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Shifts are scheduled Monday through Thursday only. Schedule is provided at least four weeks in advance. The role involves providing CT and X-ray coverage for multiple free-standing emergency department locations. During the contract period, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Eve are required scheduled workdays. The CT technologist independently performs computed tomography (CT) procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certification/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the CT scanner. Exercised professional judgment in the performance of duties to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs. May have on-call responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in abdomen, chest, and head imaging, among other modalities. Competence in preparation and administration of contrast media, as well as maintaining radiation safety, is essential. Ability to perform venipuncture and start peripheral IVs is required. Candidate must be comfortable floating to other units based on skill sets and patient census as needed. Epic charting experience is required for this role.
