Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Skilled Nursing Facility, open to new grads with a preference for 1 year of SNF experience.

Details

• Skilled Nursing Facility setting
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• May include occasional weekend coverage and floating as needed
• 13-26 week assignment length

Requirements

• CA license required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• 1 year of SNF experience preferred; new grads will be considered
• Experience with any charting system required
• Skills in assessment, body mechanics, orthopedics, and neurologic conditions such as post-stroke rehab, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
• Experience with home exercise programs and patient/family education

Additional Information

• Treats a range of orthopedic and neurologic conditions including post-op joint replacements, spinal surgery, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and education on home exercise programs
• Open to first-time travelers
