Job Title: CVOR RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Valid state RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: - Previous cardiac surgical experience - Familiarity with Epic charting system - Willingness to float to meet facility needs - Availability to work weekends and on call Description: The CVOR RN will provide specialized nursing care in the cardiovascular operating room. The position requires a thorough understanding of cardiac surgical procedures. The RN will be responsible for assessing patient needs, planning care, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes. Candidate must have experience with procedures such as coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), mitral valve replacement, and atrial septal defect repair. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for collaboration with the surgical team. The role involves adherence to protocols for infection control, safety, and specimen handling. Candidates should be prepared to work a rotating on-call schedule and may float to different areas as needed. The position offers opportunities to further develop skills in a fast-paced environment.
