Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist

Established in 1970, Boley Centers, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization serving individuals with mental disabilities, individuals and families who are homeless, Veterans and youth in Pinellas County. Boley Centers, Inc., a nationally recognized and accredited behavioral health care agency, has an opening for a full-time Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist to provide structured activities, in a supportive and constructive environment, for consumers to help enhance social and living skills.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Prepare curriculum and lesson plans for classes and group.
• Organize and facilitate social activities for consumers.
• Facilitate rehabilitation groups and provides one-one counseling.
• Document daily progress notes and consumer participation in the Life Enhancement Activities Program (LEAP).
• Complete SIPs and participate in CSP process.
• Document census for billing purposes and track and monitor token economy.
• Facilitate recovery practices, individual and group.
• Participate in discharge planning, staffing and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed, coverage during lunch periods, and drives vans to transport consumers

Education and experience required:

• Bachelor's Degree in a human services field required. Education must be from an accredited school, college, or university.
• At least one year of human services experience with knowledge of mental illness, facilitating and leading groups and crisis management preferred.

Special requirements include:

• Valid Florida driver's license required.
• Must pass a Level 2 background check and drug screen.
