Intern Support Technician – Human Resources (Fort Worth) TxDOT's Human Resources Northwest Branch seeks a year‑round Intern Support Technician located in Fort Worth, Texas. This role offers broad exposure across all Human Resources functions. Depending on availability, this position may be part‑time or full‑time. Work Location: 2501 Southwest Loop 820, Fort Worth, TX 76133. Salary and Working Conditions Minimum: $18.00 per hour. Maximum: $18.00 per hour. Pay Basis: Hourly. FLSA Status: Non‑exempt. These tasks are carried out under direct supervision and subject to frequent review. Responsibilities Assist in maintaining confidential information and records. Primarily support HR Generalists. Maintain files, records, and logs, both paper and electronic. Assist with recruiting, pre‑employment due diligence, onboarding, and off‑boarding. Conduct data audits and updates for various system information (Education, Driver's License, Safety Impact, Professional Engineer, Emergency Contact, and others). Assist in event preparation, including new employee orientation, recruiting, wellness, and other district events as needed. Gain exposure to Human Resources–related issues by observing conversations, presentations, and assisting with related tasks. Perform other job responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Student in high school or other educational institution, or accepted into a college, university, or educational institution. At least 16 years of age and currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education, including trade/vocational schools. Employees at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license may be assigned driving duties. Preferred Qualifications Major focus in Business or Human Resources. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Light work: Lift up to 20 lbs at a time; frequently lift or carry objects up to 10 lbs. Sitting for prolonged periods. Standing for prolonged periods. Repetitive motion involving substantial movements of wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Shifts: Day. Shift Flexibility: Onsite. Travel: Yes, 10% of the time.
