Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Location: Neptune, NJ Part Time or Per diem About the Role We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents regain independence and improve their quality of life. Position Summary The COTA will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans, guiding residents through therapeutic activities, and documenting progress. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping others achieve their functional goals. Key Responsibilities Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing treatment plans Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve daily living skills Help residents with mobility, coordination, and self-care tasks Monitor and report patient progress to the supervising therapist Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments Educate residents and families on therapy techniques and safety Ensure a safe and clean therapy environment Follow all healthcare regulations and facility policies Qualifications Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of New Jersey Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Previous experience in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Compassionate, patient-centered approach Why Join Us?
