Program & Event Coordinator, Community Center Full Time Professional Oklahoma City, OK, US a Christ-centered church committed to live by FAITH, be a voice of HOPE, and be known by LOVE Job Position – Program & Events Coordinator (Position Description - full-time, salaried, exempt, administrative and at-will) Location – Community Center General Scope of Position The Crossings Community Center exists to foster connection, outreach, and relationships while supporting the mission of helping people find and follow Jesus. The Program & Events Coordinator will demonstrate a humble, servant-hearted attitude, and a commitment to teamwork while organizing weekday programs, events, and activities, managing logistics and collaborating with staff, volunteers, and partners to create a welcoming, mission-aligned environment. This role requires strong organization, relational skills, and a mature Christian faith to help develop meaningful programs that engage the community. Organizational Relationships Reports to Crossings Community Church (CCC or Crossings) Associate Pastor, Community Centerand will work collaboratively and interact regularly with various vendors, CCC staff and volunteers across the various departments and ministries, venues, and campuses, as well with partners of Crossings to accomplish the goals and mission of Crossings and its ministries. Responsibilities/Duties Program & Event Coordination Coordinate the planning and execution of weekday activities, classes, programs, and special events held at the Community Center. Manage program logistics including scheduling, vendor coordination, supplies, and facility setup and teardown. Work collaboratively with the Associate Pastor and other ministry staff to implement the vision and direction for Community Center and church programming. Assist in developing new programs and events that attract new individuals and families to the Community Center and church. Evaluate programs and contribute ideas for continued improvement and community engagement. Facility & Activity Coordination Coordinate scheduling and logistics for activities taking place throughout the CommunityCenter. Manage the building calendar and coordinate space usage for ministries, programs, and approved outside organizations. Ensure outside organizations using the facility align with the values and mission of Crossings Community Church. Coordinate room setups, equipment needs, and facility logistics to ensure events run smoothly. Build strong relationships with volunteers serving at the Community Center. Partner with the Volunteer Coordinator to support volunteer scheduling, training, and program needs. Help recruit additional volunteers to support growing programming and events. Coordinate with vendors, instructors, and community partners involved in programming. Order and manage supplies needed for programs, activities, and events. Assist in tracking expenses and coordinating purchases within approved budgets. Systems & Reporting Maintain accurate program and participant records using church systems and internal platforms. Track attendance, registrations, and program metrics. Provide reports and program data to leadership as requested. Community Engagement & Ministry Presence Help create a welcoming and hospitable environment for all who enter the Community Center. Maintain awareness of programs and ministry opportunities at the Crossings Community Church Center location in order to assist participants and visitors. Represent Crossings Community Church with professionalism and warmth in all interactions with the community, volunteers, participants, and staff. Key Responsibilities Assist in maintaining the highest possible ministry standards and professional ethics in accordance with the goals, Purpose Statement, and CoreValues of Crossings Community Church. Maintain high standards of ministry, professionalism, and integrity aligned with the mission of Crossings Community Church. Support the leadership of CCC, contributing to the spirit of unity among the staff and congregation. Represent Crossings with excellence in interactions with staff, volunteers, congregation, community partners, and the public. And civic and ministry-related efforts as approved or requested. Perform any other duties or tasks to accomplish responsibilities associated with this position or as may be needed or assigned to fulfill the needs, mission and goals of Crossings’ ministries. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Exhibit a passion to walk with people in their faith development. Be a proven and effective leader in the areas of responsibility attached to this position. A multi-tasking team player with high energy, strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude. Strong organizational and event coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to plan and execute programs with attention to detail and within a budget. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Clear and professional communication with diverse audiences. Proficiency with Google Suite, Rock, FMX, and other internal systems. Physical & Other Requirements for Position Be able to walk a long distance (up to a quarter of a mile); and be able to lift and carry 25-35 lbs. parcels for distances of up to 500 feet. Able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. This is a safety sensitive position where the employee holding this position has the responsibility of his/her own safety and the safety of others including minors. Drug free workplace.
