Job Description

Rocktown Transport LLC is hiring CDL A Local Live Haul Drivers in Mount Crawford, VA . Drivers will be driving to the Monroe NC facility, picking up live turkeys, and hauling them back to the Mount Crawford, VA area. Drivers will be safely delivering 1 load per day. Rocktown Transport LLC is a family-owned contract carrier based in the Shenandoah Valley, specializing in the transportation of agricultural commodities including live poultry, bulk feed, and related ingredients. Compensation

• Guaranteed weekly pay: $1,750
  • Paid daily rate
  • Average hours weekly: 55-60
• Bonuses:
  • Sign on bonus: $1,500 paid after 45 days employed
  • Weekly attendance bonus: Report on time and work every day you’re scheduled in a week to receive an additional $50 per load for all loads that week
  • Driver referral bonus: $1,500 paid after 30 days, $500 paid after 120 days
  • Annual holiday bonus
• Paid via direct deposit bi-weekly

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

• Home time: Home daily
• Schedule: Sunday – Thurday with some Fridays
• Shift: Night shift, start time between 3:00pm – 6:00pm
• Route: To Monroe, NC and back to Mount Crawford, VA
• Level of Touch: No touch freight

Equipment

• Late model Peterbilt and Kenworth Trucks
• Manual transmission
• Inward & outward facing cameras

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have CDL A license
• Must have a minimum of 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
• Previous live haul experience preferred
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission
• Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
• Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
• Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 70 miles of Mount Crawford, VA or be willing to relocate for this position
