Travel Level III NICU/PICU Respiratory Therapist - $1,849 per week

Position Details Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel We're looking for Respiratory Care professionals for an immediate travel position opening in Hoffman Estates, IL. The right RT should have 1 year recent acute care experience. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines. Key Responsibilities Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities. Maintains appropriate patient records/documentation. Cleans, disinfects, assembles, calibrates, maintains respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories. Evaluates equipment for proper and safe function. Reports malfunctions to director. Performs arterial puncture and analyzes sample according to procedure guidelines. Interacts with co-workers, nurses, physicians, other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patient being treated. Responds to emergent situations that could require Respiratory support. Respiratory Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Respiratory Therapists should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. Respiratory Therapists must have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Requirements 1 year of experience BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, RRT certifications May require PALS and NRP in some areas Physical requirements: stand, walk, lift 20–50 lbs, vision as described Must have 1 year of experience.
