Computer Technician

Assist the Help Desk Manager with enhancing the integration of new instructional technology for academic support. The Computer Technician will provide technical support to faculty/staff and students in the use of instructional systems, hardware, software, and application programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to work under moderate pressure of schedules, deadlines, and requirements for accuracy.
• Ability to monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot software and hardware issues.
• Track help desk problems and troubleshoot reported issues and document resolutions.
• Assist faculty and staff with hardware and software problems.
• Install hardware, software, and repair computers in classrooms, computers labs and instructors desks as needed.
• Maintain computer inventory and controls per College's guidelines.
• Upload multi-media presentations onto all television display monitors.
• Complete Help Desk tickets assigned by the Help Desk Manager reporting issues and document resolutions in the IT Ticket System.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Clean driving record.
• Other duties as assigned by the Help Desk Manager, Computer Technician, Director of Information Technology, and/or President.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma (required)
• Associates degree from an accredited institution (preferred)
• One (1) year of experience working with technology
• One (1) year of computer software and hardware maintenance and repair
