Position Overview
Our organization is on the lookout for a full-time Academic Rheumatologist (Assistant or Associate Professor) to become a part of our Division of Rheumatology. This role provides a chance to engage in comprehensive rheumatology practice within a collaborative and academically driven setting.
Key Responsibilities- Manage an outpatient rheumatology practice addressing a wide array of autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders.
- Fulfill inpatient consultation duties.
- Engage in multidisciplinary clinics and innovative care models.
- Gain exposure to a variety of complex rheumatologic conditions.
- Contribute to a vibrant academic atmosphere by teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Participate in or develop clinical and/or translational research initiatives.
- Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nursing staff, and other support personnel.
- MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology.
- Proven clinical proficiency in managing rheumatologic diseases.
- A strong dedication to medical education and mentorship.
- Interest or experience in clinical research is highly valued.
- Eligibility for faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State.
