Position Summary Speech‑Language Pathologist – Day Shift (Sunday through Thursday) – 40 hour week with a weekend shift differential of $3/hr. Focus: Provide evaluation and treatment for speech, language, swallowing, and related disorders for inpatient patients at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center in Sun City West, Arizona. Core Functions Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and limitations to determine appropriate intervention; develop plan of care and goals as ordered. Implement individualized treatment plans that account for patients’ physical, social, spiritual, cultural, educational, and age-specific needs; ensure solutions are supported by standard practices and literature; re‑evaluate plans as needed. Educate patients, families, and other care providers to promote participation and therapeutic goal attainment; provide individualized home programs with clear instructions. Document patient treatment according to professional and regulatory standards. Participate in training of staff and students. Follow plan of care within established procedures and scope of practice; make independent judgments based on specialized knowledge; confer with supervisor on unusual situations. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university program. Current licensure in the state of practice (Arizona). Certificate of Clinical Competence or documented acceptance in a Clinical Fellowship Year. BLS certification required. Strong interpersonal communication and human relation skills. Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers. Proficiency with computer software applications commonly used in an automated patient care environment. Employees working for Banner Home Care AZ must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain it throughout employment. Preferred Qualifications Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
