This role is ideal for dedicated coders who thrive on solving complex challenges and making a tangible impact in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Software Engineer will work on the project to design and develop new cutting edge technologies providing command and control, situational awareness, and single integrated air picture allowing for a shoot first capability to the warfighter.This position may be worked in Huntsville, AL.Required Skills & Qualifications:US Citizenship is required. Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance to access facilities required to perform work.Extensive experience with programming languages C and C++. Experience in Python, YAML, Bash, and ADA are good to have.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field. Candidates without a degree, but with experience are encouraged to apply.Desired Skills & Qualifications:Prior experience in Air and Missile Defense SystemsAdvanced knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, algorithm design, and data structures.Strong problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions to complex problems.Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems and associated software development kits.Demonstrated ability to lead small to medium-sized software development projects.A professional at this grade applies technical knowledge, making independent judgements based on significant previous experience to support decision making. Often seen as a referral point or more senior team member to escalate more complex problems.
