Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Principal DMSMS Component Engineer (Level 03) Location: Northridge, CA. This is an on-site position only and requires the ability to obtain a secret clearance to start. The DMSMS Component Engineer designs, develops, modifies and evaluates digital electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for digital electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests, and evaluates results. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. May also review vendor capability to support product development. Basic Qualifications BS and 5+ years of experience, or MS and 3+ years of experience in Digital, Analog and Harness designs including evaluation of engineering design concepts. Experience with Diminishing Manufacturing Source and Material Shortages (DMSMS) reporting. Experience using Silicon Expert, IHS (former of Accuris), and GIDEP tools. Experience calculating MTBF (Mean time between failure). Ability to obtain a Government DoD Secret security clearance Preferred Qualifications Current/Active DoD Secret Clearance. Basis of estimate generation experience. Ability to communicate findings to customers and management. Self-starter capable of performing assigned tasks in some direction. Innovated thinker with a demonstrated ability of solving complex problems which require ingenuity and "out of the box" ideas. Experience with selecting parts to meet reliability, corrosion, metal whisker, and safety-related requirements. Familiarity with NAS411 Hazardous Materials Target List Standard Practice.
