PT Teacher Assistant - SHINE Program

Job Details Position Type: Seasonal Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: $15.00 Hourly Limited hourly contract not to exceed 500 hours for a contract year; working hours are Monday through Thursday for 3 hours per day after the conclusion of the standard school day at the center; Assist with daily instruction at assigned center for 3 hours of SHINE; assist with dinner service and support homework completion assistance, character development, relationship-building, cultural enrichment, recreational activities, and service-learning opportunities into daily programming; assist with enforcement of the SHINE Behavior Policy and notify Lead Teacher if any behavioral issues arise providing documentation; participate in mandatory staff meetings as scheduled; attend and assist with monthly Family Nights; assist with student evaluations. Non-Essential Position Duties and Responsibilities Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: High School Graduate; currently enrolled in a college-level degree or certificate program Experience Minimum one (1) year of experience in a school setting preferred Skills Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with staff, students, and public; strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
