Here’s What You Need Bachelor's Degree (Completion of a Physical Therapy program) is required. 2 years of experience in inpatient/acute care is strongly preferred. PT – Physical Therapist Texas Physical Therapy License upon hire is required. BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required. What You Will Do Perform age‑appropriate patient assessment and establish plan of care. Obtain/verify physician order for therapy and validate for appropriateness. Set appropriate, measurable, functional goals with time frames to address the identified problems, including patient/family goals and preferences. Perform age‑appropriate patient treatment. Communicate with physicians and other healthcare personnel as appropriate regarding patient care issues. Demonstrate competence in the performance of age‑appropriate patient treatment and individualize care based on age‑specific needs. Demonstrate professional accountability.
