Distillation Operator (2nd Shift)Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PMAre you looking for a hands-on role where you can apply your chemistry and laboratory knowledge in a real-world manufacturing environment? We are seeking a Distillation Operator to join our operations team and play a critical role in producing high-quality products through advanced distillation and purification processes.This position offers a unique blend of plant operations, process monitoring, laboratory testing, and equipment operation, making it an excellent opportunity for candidates who enjoy both technical lab work and industrial manufacturing.What You'll DoOperate and monitor multiple distillation and purification systems to ensure safe, efficient production.Work with specialized processing equipment including Thin Film Evaporators, Molecular Sieve Dryers, and Titration systems.Load and unload materials and assist with product transfers throughout the facility.Monitor process parameters and make adjustments to maintain quality, yield, and efficiency.Perform laboratory testing including: Gas Chromatography (GC)Moisture AnalysisTitrationsNon-Volatile Residue TestingColor and Product Quality TestingCollect product samples at various stages for laboratory analysis.Maintain accurate production logs, inventory records, and process documentation.Monitor and replenish carbon absorption systems.Track and maintain chemical inventories and material levels.Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, maximize yields, and reduce waste.Collaborate with operations and laboratory teams to meet production goals.Safety & ComplianceSafety is a top priority. You'll be actively involved in plant safety initiatives and trained on industry-standard procedures, including:Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)Environmental and safety compliance programsHazardous material handlingHAZWOPER training (provided if not already completed)What We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or another scientific discipline.Laboratory experience, including wet chemistry techniques.Experience performing analytical testing such as Gas Chromatography (GC) and titrations.Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a production environment.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience in chemical manufacturing, wastewater treatment, environmental services, oil & gas, or related process industries.Prior experience operating industrial processing or distillation equipment.HAZWOPER certification.Familiarity with GMP-regulated environments.Work EnvironmentThis is a hands-on role in an active manufacturing facility. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
