Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced CVOR Registered Nurses to provide specialized perioperative care in a busy cardiovascular operating room. The role involves supporting complex cardiac procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining sterile techniques in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative assessments and prepare patients for cardiovascular surgical procedures.
• Maintain sterile environment and assist with the setup of open-heart instrumentation and supplies.
• Monitor patient status during surgery, ensuring safe anesthesia practices and equipment functionality.
• Document surgical procedures accurately in the Meditech system and record patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely and effective procedure progression.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and provide patient advocacy throughout perioperative care.

Qualifications:

• Hold ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years current experience in an acute CVOR setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency with open heart surgery procedures such as CABG, MVR, AVR, pacemaker, and thoracic surgeries.
• Experience utilizing Meditech documentation system.
• Capable of working independently and efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
• Maintain ability to provide on-call support approximately every other day and weekend.
