Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Travel Respiratory Therapist Location: Middletown, Ohio, 13‑week travel assignment. Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Middletown, Ohio. Qualified candidates will contribute advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses. Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications ACLS or PALS Certification (AHA/ARC) Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Summary A Registered Respiratory Therapist provides advanced respiratory care to patients with complex pulmonary disorders and critical illnesses. RRTs assess, treat, and manage patients independently, including those in intensive care units and emergency situations. They work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver life‑saving therapies and patient‑centered care. Essential Work Functions Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders Perform diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples Treat patients through chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications Set up and monitor equipment to ensure the patient receives correct oxygen rate and amount Observe and record patient status and progress Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care Educate patients and/or family members on proper medication and equipment use Perform other duties assigned within RRT scope of practice Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions; proficiency in PC skills Physical: ability to remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend Interpersonal: work effectively with diverse personnel and maintain a positive, professional attitude Technical/Motor: fine manipulation, push/pull, move during procedures, and use equipment Mental: cope with frequent contact with the public and customers, meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision or independently, handle irregular schedules, maintain concentration on detail Sensory: possess visual acuity and effective communication ability Benefits Highly competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first‑day coverage Paid Time Off (PTO) after 1,560 hours Life and short‑term disability coverage 401(k) matching Aggressive refer‑a‑friend bonus program24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs Other Duties Disclaimer To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
