About the Position

Job Title: Sonographer Profession: Sonographer Specialty: Echocardiography Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification, RDCS, Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) via ARDMS Must-Have: - Average of 25-30 scans per day - Experience with echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, TEE's, and vascular exams, including carotid, venous, and arterial upper and lower studies - Familiarity with EMR and/or PACS systems, using McKesson/CHC - Proficiency in using Phillips equipment Description: Department performs non-invasive imaging studies. The candidate will perform echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, TEE's, and vascular exams. The job requires no floating to other areas. The department has four scanners/rooms available. A cardiologist will be onsite. The candidate will not be responsible for starting IVs. There is a call requirement, approximately once a week. The position requires weekend call every 5-6 weeks and one holiday call. Scrubs are purple, and are not provided. The dress code adheres to department standards. The cancellation policy allows for up to four shifts to be canceled during a 13-week assignment. The charting system used is EPIC. BSN is not required for this position. This role is situated in an acute care setting.
