Job Title
Duties include but not limited to:
- Supervision of Physician Assistants (PA), Advanced Practice Nurses (ANP) and Residents is a requirement in the clinical setting. This shall include annual review of performance with submission of a written report, which summarizes the clinical performance of the individual(s) supervised. This includes review of medical records, patient care, drug prescribing, and consultation on request.
- Education is a mission of the VA. Participation in training of students and residents will be supported by all medicine providers when learners are assigned to their specialty or area of practice.
- Physicians will participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, staff meetings, workplace assessments and committees as appropriate to the section. Each provider will function as a team member and work collaboratively with nurses and ancillary staff.
- Physicians will be active in the management of their clinic grids in collaboration with the section chief of the specialty and the Chief/Assistant Chief of Medicine to ensure timely access to care, clinic utilization and productivity.
- Physicians will comply with VHA regulations and professional standards and ethical conduct.
- Outpatient Gastroenterology duties including outpatient gastroenterology clinic and endoscopy.

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
