Surgical Progressive Care Unit Nurse

We are seeking experienced candidates who are willing to work in a Surgical Progressive Care Unit. The position involves weekend and holiday rotations, with the possibility of floating to support other units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Surgical Progressive Care Unit.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, effectively responding to changes in health status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge instructions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is required, with recent employment within the last 12 months.
• Life support certifications (ACLS and BLS) must be from an approved vendor.
• No disciplinary actions on state license to practice.
• Flu vaccination status must be disclosed, with medical and religious exemption forms available upon request.
• A valid driver's license is required to verify residency.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.

Additional Requirements

All candidates must be flexible with locations, shifts, and departments to expedite the hiring process. Availability to start on the listed date or within one week of the start date is essential. There are limitations on time-off requests, with no time-off allowed during the first week of assignment, and a maximum of seven days for subsequent requests.
