Senior Finance Analyst

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to support quoting, pricing, forecasting, and profitability analysis within a manufacturing environment. This role works closely with Finance and commercial teams to evaluate new and existing business, protect margins, and support profitable growth.

The ideal candidate brings strong financial modeling skills, an understanding of manufacturing cost structures, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business recommendations.

Key Focus

Evaluate quote profitability, analyze manufacturing costs, develop pricing scenarios, and identify opportunities to improve margins while supporting commercial forecasting and business decisions.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate customer quotes for profitability, margin impact, financial risk, and alignment with business objectives.
• Analyze cost assumptions, including materials, labor, overhead, scrap, tooling, freight, capital, and production volumes.
• Identify margin gaps, cost inconsistencies, and opportunities to improve profitability.
• Develop financial models and pricing scenarios for new business, existing programs, and cost changes.
• Compare quoted costs against actual results to improve future quoting accuracy.
• Analyze customer, product, and program profitability to identify margin improvement and cost recovery opportunities.
• Support quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and commercial financial planning.
• Partner with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to validate cost assumptions.
• Analyze complex financial data and present actionable recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in financial analysis, commercial finance, FP&A, pricing, quoting, cost analysis, or manufacturing finance.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, PivotTables, lookup functions, and scenario analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate costs, identify trends, and develop profitability recommendations.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Quoting, pricing, product costing, margin analysis, or customer profitability.
• Understanding of manufacturing cost structures, including materials, labor, overhead, tooling, and freight.
