BridgePort is a growing financial technology company modernizing how private investments are accessed, transacted, and managed.

Our cloud-based SaaS platform connects private fund managers, wealth advisors, investors, fund administrators, and other financial service providers through a fully integrated digital ecosystem. From investor onboarding and subscriptions to transaction processing, data integration, and reporting, BridgePort is helping bring greater efficiency, connectivity, and scalability to the private investment industry.

We're looking for a motivated Associate Software Engineer to join our development team in San Diego.

This is an opportunity for an early-career engineer to work on meaningful, production-level software, collaborate directly with experienced developers, and develop technical expertise in Node.js, AWS, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.

You'll do more than write code—you'll help build and enhance a platform designed to solve real-world challenges in a rapidly evolving financial technology market.

What You'll Do

As part of our engineering team, you'll contribute to the ongoing development and evolution of BridgePort's enterprise SaaS platform.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Build and enhance: Develop, maintain, and improve backend applications using Node.js and JavaScript.
• Connect systems: Support RESTful APIs and integrations with third-party financial technology and service providers.
• Work in the cloud: Help maintain and enhance application functionality, deployments, and infrastructure using AWS.
• Solve real problems: Troubleshoot software issues, improve application performance, and contribute to reliable, scalable solutions.
• Manage data: Work with relational databases, SQL queries, and data-processing workflows.
• Collaborate and learn: Partner with senior engineers on solution design, development, code reviews, testing, and deployment.
• Build with quality: Follow established practices for application security, documentation, testing, and maintainable code.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone with a solid technical foundation, intellectual curiosity, and the motivation to grow.

Required Qualifications

• Practical experience developing applications using Node.js and JavaScript, whether through professional work, internships, or personal projects.
• Foundational understanding of AWS and cloud-based applications.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and backend application development.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Git or comparable version control tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within a development team.
• Availability to work full-time, on-site in our San Diego office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Up to two years of professional software development experience.
• Exposure to AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, or CloudWatch.
• Experience with MySQL or similar relational databases.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Understanding of application security, authentication, and cloud infrastructure.
• Interest in financial technology, SaaS platforms, or financial markets.
