Job Summary

The safety of our team members, guests, and partners is our number one priority. As the Sanitation, you are responsible for leading all areas of safety and sanitation compliance at the location.

The safety & sanitation lead is responsible for:

• Coaching operational leaders to ensure a thorough understanding of all sanitation standards.
• Completing regular team member training to continually enhance understanding of best practices and to address any emerging risks or issues.
• Ensuring the accurate and thorough maintenance of all safety-related records such as temperature logs.
• Completing periodic safety inspections and walk-throughs.
• Ensuring chemicals and proper safety materials are in place in all locations. (Sanitation buckets, test strips, SDS)
• Ensuring proper cleaning is taking place.
• Spot checking temperatures in all areas for hot and cold holding.
• Regularly checking the dish machines on property for temperature, chemicals, etc.

Detailed responsibilities include:

• Managing the implementation of Levy's sanitation program at the venue.
• Working with the culinary team, risk management team, and LPC to ensure timely completion and tracking of all mandatory safety and sanitation training.
• Completing regular building inspections and walk-throughs with the operations team to identify any safety risks.
• Working with operations and culinary teams to ensure the timely completion and storage of all mandatory records.
• Completing regular 'toolbox talk' trainings with hourly team members.
• Providing 'in the moment' coaching for any team members who are not following correct procedures.
• Providing knowledgeable assistance in the reporting, monitoring, and settling of team member, foodborne illness, liquor liability, and guest claims.
• Working with local OSHA, sanitation, or Everclean inspectors to support inspections or local initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
