CNC Machinist

CNC MachinistLebanon, OhioMonday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.Compensation: $29.00 to $35.00 per hourThis CNC Machinist role machines component parts to specified dimensions and tolerances within assigned router hours at a manufacturing facility that emphasizes forward thinking, collaborative, and ethical business practices. This position works a four day schedule, Monday through Thursday.The CNC Machinist machines parts following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications, and sets up, adjusts, and operates CNC machine tools to perform diversified operations requiring close or exact tolerances on parts with varied dimensions, contours, and finish specifications. This role selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials in the machine, and maintains and inspects cutting tools for sharpness and usability. The Machinist calculates and sets controls and programming to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, and starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance conditions, adjusting controls as needed. This position also maintains and edits CNC programs to fine tune process performance, cleans and maintains machines, tooling, and parts to keep equipment in optimal production condition, and recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to set up, program, and operate CNC equipment, including CNC VTL, CNC horizontal mill, CNC vertical mill, and CNC horizontal latheAbility to read blueprints and technical plansBasic CNC programming skillsAbility to read measuring instruments and maintain machinery and equipment in the machining tradeAbility to operate a forklift and overhead craneStrong mathematical and problem solving skillsStrong mechanical skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailStrong time management skillsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally, with team lift or lifting device required above that weightAbility to climb and work from ladders, operate lifting devices, and move around the shop floor independentlyAbility to work in confined spaces as neededAbility to tolerate a typical shop environment, including exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and fumesWillingness to wear safety glasses, steel toed shoes, and additional PPE as requiredPreferred QualificationsCompletion of a vocational training program in machining or a related tradeCompensation and Benefits$29.00 to $35.00 per hourMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Paid time offTo apply, submit your resume for consideration.
